I bought the bag to use at work and it has done just fine so far, going from locker to vehicle and back. It is great that at least one manufacturer recognizes that not every drag bag needs to be musket-sized; this bag fits a carbine-lengthed AR-15 rifle like a glove, surrounding it with foam on all sides and keeping the weapon secure. I know, the bag is probably overkill for the task, but I had some specific goals in mind for the bag (I wanted something with more structure than my old bag, better protection for the weapon, and room for a headset). The front pocket--the larger of the two--is big enough that it holds a case containing eyes and ears and five AR magazines. The rear pocket holds various accessories, to include a cleaning/tool kit and paperwork. The bag feels to be made of fairly high quality, with stiff, heavy foam used throughout and providing protection for the valuable weapon contained inside. One of the most disappointing areas to me is the way the construction of the shoulder straps. I know that it's a drag bag and the "backpack" straps are not the deciding feature for most; however, it is the way I use my bag. I would compare the Galati with my Voodoo Tactical two-rifle bag which has beefy, comfortable straps with an included sternum strap. The Galati just doesn't measure up there. It would also be nice to see a means to fasten the two carry handles together and make them more comfortable or to stow the drag loop when not in use. These are all design issues and they are admittedly subjective but they are the main reason for reducing the star. The only material issue for me has been the failure of one of the plastic snap head covers on the bag. It got caught on the lip of my locker and went flying off, never to reattach. A better solution (and more expensive to the manufacturer) would have been using snaps with metal heads, but this was not to be and now I have an exposed brass head. Not a deal breaker but it is a bit of a disappointment.I would probably buy the bag again if needed.I bought this drag bag for my Remington 700 SPS tactical 20 in barrel. It's a great bag and I got it for an awesome price. The bag fits the rifle really well and I can store my ammo, spotting scope and data book without any issues. The material is of high quality and the zippers are YKK which are outstanding. The first use was at deer camp. Loaded up rifle and bipod and all accessories quality of the straps and zippers as well the material thickness was as i expected for a drag bag admittedly i wont be using it as a true drag bag but the material strength is there. The back pack straps and other pockets are definitely able to handle my big rifle. Would recommend this product to others to purchase.Perfect size for my AIAE with scope and bipod. Heavy duty material and well built. Not sure why most bags are 51" for precision rifles and I ditched a Blackhawk for this bag because there was two much slop. Keeping the gun snug so it doesn't shift inside the bag protects the crown and your zero. This bag does it for me.There are plenty of less expensive bags available on Amazon, but this is an instance where quality is worth the extra cost. The Galati Gear Drag Bag is very well constructed from the seams to the zippers to the heavy duty snaps. This is a bag that will last for years. You won't be disappointed.Very durableI measured the length of my long gun(s) and discovered the longest was 42 inches. When I got the bag, I discovered the fits the gun like a glove. Enough inner and outer pockets for all the acces and ammo. This is my Go To long gun bag.I use this bag for a Reminton 700 with a 21" barrel and an Accuracy International (AICS) folding stock (with the stock folded) and it fits perfectly. The outer pockets are big enough to hold my large spotting scope, lots of ammo, and a chronograph.Very high quality, fits my 40" rifle perfectly.
